The following candidates are seeking election for the 2025-2026 Energy NL Board of Directors:
Vice-Chair
Brad Forsey, Director of Business Development, The Cahill Group
Brad Forsey brings over two decades of experience in the energy and construction sectors, along with a deep commitment to building a stronger, more competitive industry for Newfoundland and Labrador. As Director of Business Development for The Cahill Group, Brad has forged strong relationships across the industry, advocated for local businesses, and championed growth in both traditional and emerging energy sectors.
Brad’s career began in the field—starting with a move to Western Canada before eventually returning to Newfoundland and Labrador with The Cahill Group. In 2008, he worked hands-on as a Welding Specialist on the Husky North Amethyst and NARL projects. He quickly advanced into leadership roles in Quality and Estimating before transitioning to business development, where he has played a pivotal role in positioning Cahill as a leader in oil and gas, hydro, renewables, and institutional projects. Brad has also been instrumental in Cahill’s involvement in all major Atlantic and Western Canada oil and gas projects, including Hibernia, Hebron, White Rose, and Terra Nova, while also leading initiatives in renewables and utilities work in Newfoundland and Labrador. He is excited about the future development of Newfoundland and Labrador industries.
As a dedicated director of Energy NL for the past two years, Brad has demonstrated his leadership in driving positive change. He has worked to promote the industry’s strengths and potential while supporting Energy NL’s evolving mandate. Brad is also actively involved in diversity and inclusion initiatives, continuing to advocate for meaningful programs that strengthen both the province’s workforce and the future of the energy industry.
Brad’s leadership extends beyond the boardroom—he is deeply committed to community engagement. As Secretary of the Arnold’s Cove Chamber of Commerce, he advocates for local businesses and economic development. He is also a strong proponent of establishing and developing Indigenous community relationships and partnerships, ensuring that these connections remain a priority in Newfoundland and Labrador’s energy sector.
Brad resides in Paradise with his wife, Jaimie, and their three active young boys.
