Themed Our Energy Mix: Opportunity in the Energy Evolution, conference sessions will explore the changing local and global energy sector and the role energy from Newfoundland and Labrador will play in the energy mix.
With over 30 speakers and a program developed to inform and engage the sector about the current energy market – including updates on offshore oil and gas and onshore wind projects – the Energy NL Conference & Exhibition is the region’s leading energy event. The three days also include an onsite exhibition space that will highlight the unique capabilities of over 60 Energy NL members.
On Tuesday, June 4, the conference begins at 8:30 a.m. with an address by Premier Dr. Andrew Furey, followed by project updates from Kerry Moreland, President of ExxonMobil Canada and Sean Leet, Managing Director and CEO of World Energy GH2. Over three days the conference will include six sessions that will examine the energy mix in detail, including discussion on the offshore oil and gas sector, the potential of onshore wind, carbon capture and storage, and hydroelectricity. The program will also explore the role of Indigenous organizations in resource projects and the impact of regulations on undertaking and completing projects. Further, five offshore operators, five onshore wind developers, and an electrical utility will provide updates on activities in Newfoundland and Labrador.

“Our Conference Committee has prepared an excellent agenda and I am looking forward to welcoming attendees from across Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, and the world as we explore the significant energy resources of our province and the unique capabilities of Energy NL members. I wish all attendees a successful three days of networking and learning.”
• Gerry Mayo, Conference Chair & Vice President (Operations) of PF Collins International Trade Solutions
“The Energy NL Conference & Exhibition 2024 is about bringing together the Newfoundland and Labrador energy sector to share information, to learn, and to grow. Our conference is the only opportunity in our sector to hear about all of the major energy projects ongoing and on the horizon in our province. It is a significant opportunity for Energy NL members, but also the wider energy sector and business community, as well as all residents, to understand these resource projects, along with the latest trends and activities in the global energy sector, including carbon capture, ESG practices, Indigenous engagement, and energy policy.”
