Energy NL to Represent Energy Supply & Service Sector – Email Blast to Members

Good Morning Members:

For those of you who were unable to attend the launch of our new vision, mandate, and brand this morning, we wanted to share some information with you.

We were honoured this morning to launch a new era for the Newfoundland and Labrador energy supply and service sector. After extensive consultation with our members we have changed our vision, mandate, and name.

Joining us was Harry Pride, a founding member of our association, as well as a honourary member, along with many members and stakeholders.

Our new vision and mandate are:

Vision “A sustainable and prosperous, lower carbon energy industry.”

Mandate “To facilitate member participation in the evolving energy industry by advocating for local sustainable development, seeking opportunities locally and globally, and creating connections that advance the industry.”

Energy NL is now the association representing the Newfoundland and Labrador energy supply and service sector. This change comes after an almost 15-month process and invaluable feedback from our members.

As stated today, Energy NL will ensure its members play a leading role in the energy evolution.

Energy NL is not moving away from oil and gas – we are formalizing our members commitment to participating in this energy evolution and advancing all forms of energy. Global demand for energy dictates that renewables and non-renewables must co-exist and be developed responsibly and that is where Energy NL must deliver.

We are also pleased to announce that Robin Kieley has been hired by Energy NL for the newly created role of Manager of Sustainable Energy Initiatives.

Energy NL has a new website domain, new social media handle, and email contacts for staff. While members will not have to make immediate changes to how they contact Energy NL, further information about these changes can be found on our website via this link.

Should you have any questions or comments about the change in vision, mandate, and name, we welcome them. Please, feel free to contact us when most convenient for you.

The news release for today’s event is also attached.

Sincerely,

James Parmiter, Energy NL Chair & Charlene Johnson, Energy NL CEO
