Excitement is Mounting for Conference 2021 – CEO Blog

After delays and postponements due to Covid-19, we could not be more excited for Noia’s Oil & Gas Conference 2021.

This first in-person event in over 18 months will take place on Tuesday, September 21st and Wednesday, September 22nd at the St. John’s Conference Centre.

Themed Resilient & ReEnergized, this year’s conference will feature 30 speakers, several operator updates, and countless networking opportunities for our attendees.

The conference will kick off on Tuesday with a keynote address from Lazaro Cosma, President, ExxonMobil Canada. Day one will focus on resiliency, cleantech and emissions reduction, and local content. A highlight from the first day will be guest speaker Todd Hartlaub, Senior Manager, Atlantic Canada Region, CNOOC International, as well as the opportunity to learn more about an exciting opportunity with local businesses and an Indigenous partner to develop Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore natural gas.

Day two will build on the informative program of day one as it explores collaboration in the new (normal) industry, market opportunities & diversification, and next steps for reaching our potential in Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore oil and gas industry.

Highlights will include operator updates from Josée Tremblay, Vice President, East Coast, Suncor Energy; Jonathan Brown, Senior Vice President, Atlantic Region, Husky Energy; and Torstein Hole, President, Equinor Canada.

We are also very excited for the two keynote luncheon speakers: Chris Slubicki, the former President, Chief Executive Officer & Director, Modern Resources Inc.; and Bethany Downer, Chief Communications Officer, Hubble Space Telescope / Director of Communications, STAR HARBOR.

Minister Andrew Parsons will conclude conference 2021 with an overview of what’s next for our industry in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Excitement is certainly mounting and this year’s conference will undoubtedly deliver the same high-quality and informative program everyone has come to expect and appreciate from Noia.

Be sure to get your tickets early as space is limited.

We can’t wait to see you there!
