Panel Discussion to Focus on Innovation and Collaboration at Noia 2018 Oil & Gas Conference

The Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) today announced that a panel discussion on Innovation and Collaboration will occur at the Noia 2018 Oil & Gas Conference.

The Noia Oil & Gas Conference is Canada’s flagship offshore oil & gas industry information event, attracting global oil & gas industry leaders as both speakers and delegates. Themed Redefining Oil: The Time for Change, the 2018 conference will once again deliver the latest updates on exploration, production and development activities in Canada’s offshore oil & gas industry.

Throughout the oil & gas industry attention is turning toward innovative activities with a focus on collaboration within organizations, as well as amongst industry partners. The panel will discuss innovation and collaboration and the many ways they may be used to achieve success in the offshore oil & gas industry. The panel discussion and subsequent question and answer period will be moderated by Stephen Henley, Vice President Canada of Subsea 7. The three panellists will include:

  • Gordon McIntosh, Deputy Minister for the Department of Natural Resources;
  • Joy Romero, Vice President of Technology & Innovation with Canadian Natural Resources Ltd.; and,
  • Phil Simons, Chair of Efficiency Task Force with UK Oil & Gas and Senior Vice President Projects and Operations with Subsea 7.

The panel discussion and Q&A will take place at 8:25 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20 at the St. John’s Convention Centre.
