Noia Oil & Gas Conference to Feature Seven Operators, Including ExxonMobil, Nexen and Suncor

St. John’s, NL (May 11, 2017) –The Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) is pleased to announce that this year’s oil & gas conference will feature seven operators, including ExxonMobil Canada Ltd., Nexen Energy ULC and Suncor Energy.

The Noia Oil & Gas Conference is Canada’s flagship offshore oil & gas industry information event, attracting global oil & gas industry leaders as both speakers and delegates. Themed Offshore Newfoundland: Relevant, Untapped & Resilient, the 2017 conference will once again deliver the latest updates on exploration, production and development activities in Canada’s offshore oil & gas industry and offer over 1,000 delegates the opportunity to partake in discussions about timely industry issues and participate in unparalleled networking opportunities.

Geoff Parker, senior project manager with the Hebron Project and vice president, ExxonMobil Canada Ltd., will speak to delegates about the Hebron journey, the latest milestones and near-term plans. He will also take a broader look at ExxonMobil’s regional assets and activities.

CNOOC-Nexen’s VP Exploration and Appraisals – Americas Sigfried Joiner, will deliver a presentation about the organization’s global exploration approach and how Newfoundland and Labrador fits within it. As a new entrant in 2016, Joiner will provide an overview of Nexen’s first year, as well as discuss Nexen’s plans for future, long-term success in NL’s offshore.

Suncor Energy’s East Coast Vice President Steve Hogan, will present to delegates about Suncor’s ongoing commitment to safety and environmental performance. He will speak about adding value through the 2017-18 Terra Nova drilling campaign, as well as provide a life of field extension update. Hogan will also outline Suncor’s approach to navigating these challenging and uncertain economic times through collaboration.
