St. John’s, NL – Raymond Collins, Chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) Board of Directors, today thanked Ed Martin for his immense contributions to the province’s oil & gas industry through his role as President and CEO of Nalcor Energy. Mr. Martin’s legacy in Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore oil industry will bear fruit for generations to come.
“The provincial oil & gas industry made incredible strides under Ed Martin’s leadership. His vision and guidance led to the establishment of Nalcor Oil & Gas and today the province holds equity in three offshore oil & gas projects and has undertaken a rigorous seismic program which has increased Newfoundland and Labrador’s global competitiveness to attract exploration investment,” said Mr. Collins. “On behalf of the Noia Board of Directors, I would like to thank Mr. Martin for his substantial contributions to the industry and to our province.”
Noia encourages the Provincial Government to ensure that the incoming President and CEO of Nalcor Energy shares Mr. Martin’s vision and level of industry knowledge and experience, as well as his desire to ensure a long-term, sustainable industry for the benefit of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.
