St. John’s, NL (June 13, 2016) — The Newfoundland and Labrador Oil & Gas Industries Association (Noia) is pleased to be delivering another exceptional oil & gas conference this year. Themed “Fueling the Future & Re-energizing Change”, this year’s conference will bring together industry leaders to reflect on the current climate of the oil & gas industry and ways to improve operational efficiency, as well as discuss the future of exploration.
Dr. Richard Wright, Nalcor Energy’s Manager of Exploration, will present “Early Insights: Emerging plays and prospects in Newfoundland and Labrador’s offshore basins” to delegates at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 23.
In his presentation, Dr. Wright will provide a brief review of Nalcor’s exploration strategy as well as an overview of ongoing geoscience programs to assess the province’s frontier regions. He will also discuss emerging plays and prospects in the Newfoundland and Labrador offshore with comparison to global analogues, as well as provide insights into the basin trends and prospects for the upcoming 2016 license round.
