The Noia Oil & Gas Conference 2018, Redefining Oil: The Time is Now, officially concluded Thursday after three days of important discussion about the oil & gas industry. The 34th annual edition of the conference was held at the St. John’s Convention Centre.
“The caliber of speakers and the in-depth discussions provided exceptional value for conference delegates and the feedback received has been extremely positive,” said Charlene Johnson, Noia CEO. “A wide variety of discussions took place on important topics to our industry. The conference also provided delegates and Noia members with opportunities to network and form new partnerships to help further the growth of our industry.”
This year the conference added three technical sessions for the first time which provided the participants the opportunity to explore the topics of deepwater, Canada’s Ocean Supercluster, and marginal fields and standardization. As well, a Business-to-Business Matchmaking Program was also initiated and a conference app was available for delegates.
“A consistent theme of the week was the need for certainty and clarity with respect to the federal regulations which govern our industry,” continued Johnson. “The future of our industry depends upon that certainty and clarity so it can attract investment, conduct exploration, and grow an already valuable and important industry.
