One of the key highlights of Noia’s annual conference is always the incredible keynote luncheon speakers, and this year is no exception.
For conference 2021 we are pleased to have Chris Slubicki, former President, Chief Executive Officer, & Director of Modern Resources Inc. and Bethany Downer, Chief Communications Officer, Hubble Space Telescope and Director of Communications, STAR HARBOR, as our keynote luncheon speakers.
On day one, attendees will hear from Chris Slubicki, a well-known advocate for the Canadian oil and gas industry. With more than 35 years in the business sector, Chris is also the former vice-chair of Scotia Waterous and was one of the four original founders of Waterous and Co., a private global oil & gas mergers and acquisitions firm, having starting the firm in Calgary in 1989.
Chris graduated with a B.Sc. in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from the University of Calgary.
Day two’s keynote luncheon speaker is Bethany Downer. Bethany was born and raised in St. John’s, and loves to talk about space and the applicability of space technology to other industries. Her role in the aerospace industry is to effectively explain space science and technology developments, or “rocket science”, with broader audiences.
In 2018 Bethany became the first scientist-astronaut candidate from Newfoundland and Labrador, and she hopes to complete her first commercial suborbital spaceflight within the next five years.
Bethany holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Memorial University and a Master of Science degree from the International Space University.
Don’t miss our prestigious line up of speakers, operator updates, and exclusive networking opportunities. Space is limited and we encourage you to get your Noia Oil & Gas Conference 2021 tickets today.
